Hailing all the way from Miami, Florist Operations Intern Alan Croitoru shares his experience from inside the 1-800-FLOWERS.COM Florist Operations Department:

“As a student majoring in financial economics and psychology, I can truly appreciate 1-800-FLOWERS.COM’s caring team who is obsessed with delivering smiles on behalf of its customers. Interning with the Florist Operations is interesting for me because I am able to see how the company values its economic goals yet maintains its culture of delivering smiles. For example, the emotions that a mother feels when receiving beautiful lilies on Mother’s Day or the impact of red roses on a Valentine’s Day experience are so crucial to the company’s bottom line.

The true meaning of an emotional connection really hit home for me when my Florist Operations team delivered smiles to children at Winthrop-University Hospital as part of Summer of a Million Smiles campaign. It was amazing to see how simple gestures could brighten their day.”
